The Pioneer Springs Academic Plan is dynamic document that provides an overview of planning for coming years. Content includes anticipated changes in curriculum or instruction, milestone events like charter renewal or the first graduation ceremony, and the instructional scope and sequence for each grade level. It also stresses the overarching vertical themes and expeditions. This one-stop document allows parents and stakeholders to know what to expect and when, whether in the classroom or across the school campus. Viewable link is here.
Pioneer Springs Community School is a recipient of ESSER III federal Covid relief funds and, as such, is required to post its Return to On-Campus Learning Plandocs.google.com/document/d/1M4VZMoWTFdoJu6RuMSS2ITzvkl9cOGLzBNcH89PRUxc/edit?usp=sharing for public review and access. The plan represents an overview of the three tiers of operation--remote, hybrid, and on-campus--that make up the school's pandemic response spectrum. To the fullest extent possible, Pioneer Springs Community School will navigate the 21-22 school year with on-campus operations and seek to remain open unless (1) closed by executive order or another directive from an authoritative source or (2) conditions at the school, including Covid outbreaks, require the closure of a grade level, building, or the school as a whole for that period of time which allows for reset to baseline operational conditions. A copy of the plan is available here and is available for public review from October 1 through November 1, 2021. The school will be guided by internal metrics (number of positive cases on campus) as well as CDC recommendations as represented in the StrongSchoolsNC Public Health Toolkit (K-12). Please contact Rebecca Friend at [email protected] with comments or questions regarding the ESSER funds or the Plan for On-Campus Learning.
