2023 Spring After school Camps

After-school clubs will run for 5 weeks (except for days we have off; they will extend to as long as it takes to make it a five-session course).  Deadline to sign up is noon on Thursday, March 9th. All clubs have a 4:45 finish unless otherwise mentioned by the staff.  The 1st spring session will run the weeks of March 13th-April 17th.


MONDAYS: 

•  Chess w/Ms. Martha, 2nd-11th, $125

"Check Mate!"  We love hearing those words in Chess Club!  This club provides an after-school opportunity for students to engage in learning about and playing the challenging game of chess. We will review opening principals, discuss tactics and strategies and learn to play chess!  All skill levels welcome

• Cooking with Mike , K-11th, $130 ($5 fee for ingredients)

A culinary art class for all skill levels!  We will make baked goods from scratch as well as from cake mixes
TUESDAYS: 

• Kayaking  w/Ms. Erin, 5th-11th, $145 ($20 goes toward kayak rental); must be able to swim

No experience necessary! We will learn the basics of safe kayaking and enjoy relaxing paddles and as the weather warms up, we may also be able to get some swimming and exploring on the beaches.  Must arrange your own ride to drop-off and be there no later than 4pm each session. We have a hard 5pm stop.

• Creatures of the Springs with Ms. Margaret, K-5th, $125

Get ready to get messy! This camp is for nature and animal lovers! each week will feature a different creature local to the Pioneer Springs campus. We'll read about the creature and make arts and crafts related to the creature. Then we'll go outside to explore it's natural habitat and possibly spot the creature! We'll have time to get messy and muddy looking for little creatures in the pond and gardens. We'll have quiet and sneaky times looking for hard to find shy creatures. Sign up your nature loving student today!

THURSDAYS:

• EOG Reading Prep with Ms. Kara, 3rd and 4th grades
  

We are getting closer to the end of the year! We are offering EOG prep including vocabulary, comprehension, and test taking skills. We will start with a warm-up and end with a reading game. Come join us!

FRIDAYS:

• Pokemon Club with Ms. Margaret,  K-5th, $125

This is the time to finally get out those cards that have been burning a hole in your pocket during the school day to show off with your friends. Pokemon club will involve free-time to look at cards and trade with you friends, Pokemon battles, Pokemon creation, and Pokemon crafts.
