Susan Montague K-5, 6-8 Visual Arts Susan Montague is a gifted artist whose work has been featured in numerous individual and group shows. But one of her greatest artistic gifts has proven to be the ability to inspire the next generation of artists and creative thinkers. Susan began teaching art through her involvement with the Children’s Schoolhouse in Huntersville, where she was impressed with a philosophy that stressed the artistic process above the finished product. According to Susan, “I didn’t know teaching children would become my vocation, but when I began volunteering in my son’s preschool classes, I discovered I had a real passion for it. I always thought I would teach at the college level, but I found I connect best with kids.” Contact: [email protected]
